How do we
Book?
A 30% booking fee and a signed contract is required to secure your date. This amount is deducted from the final balance and is non-refundable as it guarantees your wedding date. The remaining balance is due no later than two weeks prior to your wedding day.
How many photos do we
Get?
You will receive approximately 60 – 100 images per hour. (Sometimes more, depending on how many how many guests in attendance).
The images are delivered in both high resolution (for printing) and low resolution (for social media sharing) through an online gallery with one year access and without any watermarks.
You can instantly share with family, friends. We’ll also send you a little special USB package as our way of saying “thank you”
When do we get to see our
Photos?
I will have a sneak peak ready for you a day or two after the wedding.
The entire finished collection is ready from 4-10 weeks after the wedding day,
The time frame depends on how many images taken and the time of year.
I believe a rushed job is rarely a good job and I like to take my time with care so that your imagery is consistent and of high quality.
My wedding is outside Sydney, do you
Travel?
Yes, I love to travel.
I charge a modest fee of $250 for any wedding more then 1 hour drive from Sydney.
This covers time out of office, hotel room, fuel, tolls and parking meters when it becomes a little dangerous driving long distances at night.
We often cover international weddings, you may have to cover flights, small hire car, petrol, and accommodation for two nights.
What camera equipment do you
Use?
I use Canon professional grade cameras and lenses, with flash and other useful accessories.
Do you have backup
Gear?
I always carry at least 2 cameras and 2 flashes to every wedding along with many lenses, spare batteries and lots of memory cards to ensure I can keep shooting throughout the entire day even if something malfunctions unexpectedly. All my equipment is insured and can be replaced in short notice.
What is your shooting
Style?
We are primarily story tellers!
Our style is candid, relaxed and photojournalistic.
We aim to capture you just as you are, raw and spontaneous.
We hope to capture the key moments that tell an editorial style story of your wedding day.
During the portraits we will offer some helpful direction if necessary.
Can I do whatever I want with my wedding
Photos?
You have full private use of all images and can print and distribute your images on social media until your heart is content. We ask that you kindly credit us when posting images online.
There are limitations regarding using images for commercial purposes – therefore if any vendors contact you requesting photos, please advise them to contact me directly instead of supplying them yourself.
I am happy to provide images to vendors as long as the terms and conditions of use, is explained to the vendor first.
Can we meet you before we decide to
I normally suggest we try catch up, mainly because I love coffee and meeting new people.
Oh and I will be spending the best part of your wedding day with you so I feel it’s pretty crucial we are on the same page and get to know each other!
I generally try to meet at a coffee shop however, this is not always possible due to people living in different states or countries.
In this case we can organise a Skype date if that suits you.
We are based near Parramatta, NSW, Australia - but more than happy to meet up with you in any Sydney suburb for a chat.

Why should I invest in an
Album?
Let’s face it we live busy lives and are time poor.I am sure many people who say they are going to make their own album or print out some photos to put on their walls never end up doing it.
Seeing your photos on a computer screen is not the same as the texture and smell of a fine art photo album and that’s why I recommend it.
My Albums are printed on thick (archival quality) matte paper, ensuring a perfect heirloom for future generations.
However in saying this, if you prefer to choose a package without an album, you can always order one later if you change your mind.
How many photographers will be at my
Wedding?
Some of the packages include just one photographer or a second photographer for half-day only.
The full-day package includes 2 photgraphers for entire day coverage.
We always encourage having a second photographer as this saves alot of time, when certain things and groups of people can be delegated and captured separately. This especially helps during the getting ready as it is usually at separate locations for bride and groom.
It also helps covering different angles during vows and speeches. Your partner's words and your reaction to them.
Have you shot at our venue
Before?
The Feather & Soul team has shot weddings at a range of different venues, so there is a chance that we have photographed at yours.
If your wedding is at a new location, we always do extensive online research as well as a thorough walk-through well in advance of the big day.
Do you back up your
Photos?
I most certainly do, this is a crucial part of my job as a photographer.
My cameras use dual card slots and when I get home on the night of your wedding 2 more copies of your images are made.
Once they are edited and delivered to your on line gallery you have the piece of mind knowing they are backed up in case you lose your copy.
Do you offer engagement
Yes. I love engagement sessions!
Not only are they a great way for me to get to know my clients better, they are also a great practice run and I find that the images created are often used for wedding invitations or on the actual wedding day.
Sessions?
How long is your typical coverage for a wedding
Day?
It depends on what is most important for you as a couple to have captured, and how much travel time needed between each location.
Most weddings fall under 8-10 hours.
